WICHITA - The Traveler Majors concluded their 5-day trip to Kansas with a pair of victories over the Wichita Sluggers on Monday.
Woodward improved to 45-19 overall and went 6-1 on the Wichita trip. The Travelers are in Enid tonight for games against the Enid Minors and Majors starting at 6 p.m. Woodward played in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night.
Against Wichita, the Travelers won the first game 6-0 as Johnathon Johnson picked up his 10th win of the season, scattering 6 hits over 6 innings. Shane Martin threw the seventh. Trevor Julian, Braden Todd and Coleton Whitewater had 2 hits each and Ryan Ainsworth scored twice.
Woodward won the nightcap 8-4 as Colton Henricks got his 7th win of the season.
Ainsworth, Austin Beisel and Tanner Ward all had 2 hits. The Travelers had 11 hits in the game. Tyler Williams drove in 2 runs.
