WHS boys get win

Woodward, Okla. — WEATHERFORD – Woodward's boys evened their season record at 1-1 with a 50-30 romp at the Eagles Nest on Friday.

Taylan Iliff scored 18 points and Ty Richey 12 as the 20th-ranked Boomers dominated the Eagles.

In the girls game, 4th-ranked Weatherford routed the Boomers 64-23. Haylee Bates led Woodward, now 0-2, with 5 points.

Woodward will host Alva on Tuesday, then play in the Harrah Panther Classic.

In the Western Heights 9th grade tournament, the Woodward girls hammered the host Western Heights Jets 29-6 to reach the championship game against Chickasha at 6 p.m. on Saturday
