Woodward, Okla. — NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — The road to the Final Four will start at home for Oklahoma and possibly include another trip to Kansas City, Mo.
Oklahoma (23-10) on Monday received a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament and learned it will host No. 14-seeded South Dakota State (22-10) on Sunday. The Jackrabbits won the Summit League tournament title.
The other first-round game in Norman will feature sixth-seeded Georgia Tech against 11th-seeded Arkansas-Little Rock. The winners will play next Tuesday.
Should Oklahoma win two games, the Sooners would advance to the regional in Kansas City, where they reached the Big 12 tournament title game. OU's conference rival Nebraska is the region's top seed, followed by Notre Dame, the Sooners and Kentucky.
Oklahoma lost to Nebraska and Notre Dame earlier this season. The Sooners beat Georgia Tech last season en route to the Final Four.
