Woodward, Okla. — STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State is back in the NCAA women's tournament and headed west.
The Cowgirls were seeded fourth in the Sacramento Regional and will face 13th-seeded Chattanooga in the first round Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.
Oklahoma State will open the tournament without point guard Andrea Riley, the nation's third-leading scorer. Riley will serve a one-game suspension stemming from an incident in which she took a swipe at LSU's Erica White during an NCAA tournament game two years ago.
The Cowgirls didn't make the 64-team field last season, leaving the penalty to carry over to this year.
If short-handed Oklahoma State can defeat Southern Conference champion Chattanooga in the first round, it would face either fifth-seeded Georgia or 12th-seeded Tulane in the second round.
