Shinn at 3 p.m.: Defensive line has some work to do

NORMAN — Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops wasn't pleased with the performance against Baylor. But there isn't going to be a major defensive overhaul after the Sooners allowed 252 rushing yards to the Bears.

"We know what we have to fix. There were some plays we didn’t defend well. We know that," Stoops said Monday night. "Obviously, you see them, you try to work on them. You come up with a better plan. And if that’s what they choose to do, then we’ve got to be able to go fix it.

"When something’s broke, you try to fix it and that’s all you can do," he said. "We’re not going to change drastically in what we do and our approach week in and week out is going to be systematically very similar. But techniques need to change and certain ways, we can play things better certainly. But again, they’re going to do what they do, we’ve got to do what we do and see how it all matches up.”

West Virginia is averaging 480.22 yards of total offense per game. However, 72.3 percent of those yards have come on passing plays.
