Travelers win two thrillers
The Travelers won two games in bottom of the seventh inning at the WHS baseball field Saturday.
Woodward rallied from a 4-1 deficit to down Bartlesville 5-4 in the first game. Kevin Hajny was the winning pitcher.
In game two, the Travelers scored three in the bottom of the seventh to nip Edmond Memorial, 8-7. Tyler Williams got the win in relief and Jonathan Johnson had the game-winning hit.
The Travelers play a 1 p.m. twinbill against Edmond Memorial today at the WHS field.
Woodward’s Minors Travelers beat Burkburnett twice on Saturday, 12-3 and 15-0. In the second game, Mitchell Killgo hit two grand slams and drove in nine runs.
