WHS wins twice
The Boomers improved their softball record to 8-10 with a pair of victories over Sharon-Mutual at the WHS field on Tuesday.
Woodward won the opener 12-3, then took the second game 6-0.
In game one, Kali Castor had three hits and drove in three runs to pace a 15-hit attack by the Boomers. Mikala Wynn added three hits and Shelby Roach drove in a pair of runs. The Boomers used solid defense to post a shutout in the second game.
Woodward will host Arapaho on Monday.
The Boomers will host a softball camp on May 16 at the WHS field, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registrations are being accepted through next Monday’s game and you can sign up at the concession stand. Cost is $35. The WHS Softball Home Run club is holding the one-day camp.
