Brice Gregory and Keiton Crawford each had 2 touchdowns as Mooreland defeated Beaver 35-22 in District A-1 football action Friday.
The Bearcats won for the 5th time in 6 games while Beaver fell to 0-6.
Bouncing back from their first loss of the season at Texhoma last week, the Bearcats never trailed.
Gregory and Landon Peach connected on a 21-yard touchdown pass in the first period, then Gregory scored on a 7-yard run to make it 14-0.
Beaver countered with a Ryan Nash touchdown later in the half, cutting the lead to 14-6.
Mooreland quickly scored in the third period with Crawford’s 3-yard run capping a 50-yard drive.
After the Dusters cut the lead to 21-14, the Bearcats got a 2-yard run from Crawford, then Gregory put the game away with a 54-yard run at the 5:53 mark of the fourth period.
Beaver tacked on a late touchdown with 41 seconds left to account for the final score.
The Bearcats will host Fairview in a key district contest next week.
Fairview defeated Hooker 71-18 on Friday.
Texhoma continued its unbeaten season with a 54-6 win at Oklahoma Bible Academy.
