Woodward and Mooreland both had solid nights on the softball diamond on Tuesday.
Woodward beat Arnett 12-3 and raised its record to 15-9 while Mooreland improved to 18-5 with wins over Pioneer (8-3) and Fairview (4-0).
Haylee Bates led the Boomer attack with a pair of home runs, a triple and she scored twice. McKenzie Hunter had 3 hits and scoffed twice and Courtney Cook, Hillary Hurst and Kameron Pope each had 2 hits.
Adyson Clark was the winning pitcher.
Mooreland broke open a close game against Pioneer with 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning for the 8-3 decision. Against Fairview, the Bearcats scored in the 1st, 5th and 7th innings, collecting 9 hits in the game.
The Bearcats will play in the Hinton Tournament on Thursday.
Woodward will be in the Elk City Tournament starting on Thursday and will face Clinton or Sentinel in a 7 p.m. contest. The Boomer JV will play in the Buffalo Tournament on Friday, taking on Shattuck at 1 p.m. in the first round.
On Monday, Mooreland split a pair of games in Hammon.
The Bearcats defeated Mangum 6-1, then lost a 1-0 battle with defending Class B state champion Hammon. The Warriors scored the game’s only run in the 5th and final inning.
Woodward defeated Vici 15-5 on Monday.

HOUSTON (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder were unhappy about coming back to Houston for Game 6. They left town in a much better mood.
Kevin Durant scored 27 points and Kevin Martin added 25 to lead the Thunder to a 103-94 victory over the Rockets on Friday night, sending Oklahoma City to the second round of the playoffs for the third straight season.
