Woodward, Okla. — Willie W. Loucks, 78 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Woodward Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Elmwood Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.
Willie Willy Loucks was born on March 21, 1934 at Forestburg, Texas to Charles Edward and Rhoda Jane (Owens) Loucks. When Willie was small child, the family moved to Kansas and remained there until he was a teenager. They later moved to Woodward where Willie completed his education.
On February 14, 1954 Willie was united in marriage to Ada Mae Barker at Woodward. Their first home was established in Woodward where it has remained throughout their married life.
Willie worked at Raziens Metal, drove trucks for Hodges, Shaw Trucking, Woodward Concrete and Leroy’s Ready Mix. He enjoyed driving his 18 wheeler down the highway’s and byway’s of Northwest Oklahoma.
His special interests included, fishing, hunting, camping, trap shooting, golf and especially playing horseshoes.
Willie is survived by his wife Ada of the home, two daughters, Lynda Frederick and husband Terry of Onaga, Kansas; Sue Loucks of Woodward; two sons, Ray Loucks and wife Leahann of Woodward and Lonnie Loucks of Enid; two brothers, Jimmy Don Loucks and James Sandt; three sisters, Mary McDowell of Ft. Supply, Barbara Newton and husband Ken of Belfield, North Dakota and Cleta Gifford; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters, Sherri and Terri Loucks and Donna Wright; one grandson, Gary Ray Frederick.
