Mark Gammill Rizley was born on May 23, 1961 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Jerry and Margaret Rizley. Mark went to the Lord on February 12, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona, with his Mother and brother David by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Woodward on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Charlie Graves officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Mark is survived by his son, Shane Rizley and wife Shelley and four grandchildren, Austin, Skyler, Katelyn and Riley, and a daughter, Cindy Rizley; his parents Jerry and Margaret Rizley; a sister, Rebecca Lotspeich and husband Troy and a brother, David Rizley and wife Suzanne, three nephews and three nieces, and best friend and companion, Gayle Gaston.
Mark grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma and graduated from Woodward High School in 1979. He was elected Senior Class President and had many, many friends. He attended one semester of college at Northwestern College in Alva before going to work for Kline Mechanical where he worked for several years.
In 1985, Mark moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and in 1986 went to work for American Golf Corporation. He worked as an employee and Superintendent at a golf course called Villa De Paz for 12 years. The Company then moved him to Tatum Ranch Golf Course as head irrigater where he worked for 14 years.
Mark loved football, skiing, fishing and turkey hunting. He also loved coming home to be with family, visit friends whom he kept in touch with, and of course turkey hunting.
Accepting defeat was never an option with Mark as he continued to work as much as he could throughout his illness. Mark will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flowers Street, Phoenix, AZ. 85014 or the Woodward Hospice with the Billings Funeral Home accepting the contributions.

Karl Wayne Platte was born December 2, 1980 to Kenny and Gail Platte in Big Spring, Texas. Karl tragically left this life on June 1, 2013 as a result of a car accident. He was 32 years of age. He moved with his family to Dora, New Mexico in 1986. While in Dora, Karl asked Jesus into his life at a very young age. It was there that Karl’s competitive, athletic spirit was kindled. In 1992, the Platte family moved to Wilson, Texas where Karl participated in every sport he could imagine and excelled in them all. He grew a great love for all sports and the outdoors.

Funeral services for Wilda Marie Schmidt age 84 of Woodward will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband Earl. Visitation will be held on June 3, 2013 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
