Woodward, Okla. — The memorial service for Julie Ann Bindrum, 50 year-old Enid resident will be Monday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate.



Julie was born September 27, 1962 in Alva, Oklahoma to Louie and Doris “Fern” (McMurphy) Bindrum and died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in her home in Enid.

She attended Capron schools and graduated from Woodward

High School with the class of 1980. She worked at the Rib Ranch in

Woodward for several years before moving to Edmond where she worked at the Around the Corner restaurant. In 2004 she moved to Enid where she worked with Holding’s, and for the Living Center, where she received the employee of the year award. She then went to work with Long Inc., where she was still employed at the time of her death.



She enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. Mostly she loved her dog, Lucy.



She is survived by her sisters; Judi Long and husband Kenneth of Enid, and Jean “Cookie” Small and husband Dan of Amarillo, Texas. Two brothers; Mike Bindrum of Oklahoma City and David Bindrum of Alva. Also surviving are several niecs, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Catherine, and her sister Mary Colhmia.

    Leona Austin, 91 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home south of Woodward.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home

    Karl Wayne Platte was born December 2, 1980 to Kenny and Gail Platte in Big Spring, Texas. Karl tragically left this life on June 1, 2013 as a result of a car accident. He was 32 years of age.  He moved with his family to Dora, New Mexico in 1986. While in Dora, Karl asked Jesus into his life at a very young age. It was there that Karl’s competitive, athletic spirit was kindled. In 1992, the Platte family moved to Wilson, Texas where Karl participated in every sport he could imagine and excelled in them all. He grew a great love for all sports and the outdoors.

    Funeral services for Wilda Marie Schmidt age 84 of Woodward will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband Earl.  Visitation will be held on June 3, 2013 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

    Lamont Munsell, 92 year old Mooreland resident, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Mooreland Heritage Manor.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Mooreland.  Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home of Mooreland.
