Woodward, Okla. — Sam Christiaan Lance van Eeghen was born on May 30, 2012 at 1:03 pm in Monterey, California. He was a 4 1/2 month old beautiful baby boy with giant blue eyes, a little bit of blonde hair and a huge beautiful smile. His nickname was "The Peanut" and he was truly a miracle to his parents who had waited for so long to welcome him into their lives. He was their heart.

Little Sam passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday, October 14 in Freedom, Oklahoma. He and his parents lived in California and had come home to visit family.

Sam is survived by his parents, Ernst and Gretchen (Barber) van Eeghen of Carmel, California. His grandparents are Brett and Terry Smith of Freedom, Oklahoma; Randy and Marilyn Barber of Warrensburg, Missouri; Nanske De Jong Schouwenburg and Ron Beek of Overveen, The Netherlands; and Jochem and Hetty van Eeghen of Haarlem, The Netherlands. Great-grandparents include Donna Smith of Freedom, Oklahoma and Del and Pat Barber of Ozark, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, please donate directly to the American Sudden Infant Death Institute Syndrome (www.sids.org) or send your donations to Freedom State Bank at P.O. Box 125 Freedom, OK 73842.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the First Christian Church of Freedom with the Reverend Mark Kinkel officiating. Interment will follow in the Freedom Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Jan R. Brown passed from this earthly life to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20th, after a short illness. He was born on June 21, 1939 in El Reno OK. Jan and his wife of 56 years have enjoyed the last 20 years of semi-retirement in Hot Springs Village AR. Many great memories have been created for family and friends in this beautiful golfing community.

As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
