Woodward, Okla. — Lloyd D. Thomas, Sr. 69 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Elmwood Cemetery with the Reverend Jay Custar officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Lloyd Dwane Thomas was born on July 20, 1943 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Clyde and Thelma Clarice (Shirley) Thomas. Lloyd was reared in Woodward, but traveled the west coast with his father for a short period. He was united in marriage to Denise Ann Still on August 30, 1989 in Lipscomb, Texas. They made their home in Woodward. Lloyd worked as a truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by one son, Lloyd Dwane Thomas Jr. and his wife Jodi of Woodward; two daughters, Micki Martin and husband Brandon of Canton, Michelle Thomas of Canton; seven grandchildren, Destiny Rose, Amber NiCole, Conner Heath, Jasolynn Tavis, Taylor-Ann Dawn, Conner Levi, and Madyson Layne; other relatives and many friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma Nadine and two brothers, Floyd Thomas and Gerald Thomas.
