Woodward, Okla. — Donetta Faye Castle, daughter of Lacey and Clara (Farleigh) Gaston was born in Woodward, Oklahoma on September 30, 1949 and passed from this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 5, 2013 at the age of 63. Donetta was raised in Woodward attending Woodward Public Schools. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1967 then attended Aladdin Beauty School.



Donetta married Cecil Spake and they made there home in Vici, Oklahoma. Cecil passed from this life on September 10, 1975. On September 30, 1977 Donetta married Jackie Castle in Woodward, Oklahoma at her twin sister Bonetta’s house. They made their home in Vici, Oklahoma. The family owned and operated a Sinclair Filling Station in Vici and spent most of there time running it. Donetta was the clerk for the City of Vici and also was a Hairstylist. The last several years she was a Social Worker at the Vici Nursing Home.



Donetta was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved going fishing at Bakers Pond and bank fishing on the rivers. She also loved to dance and crotchet. She was always up to playing a game of pool or a card game with family and friends. She was baptized during her youth years and was attending Sunday Church Services at the Vici Nursing Home.



Donetta was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Spake, parents, Lacey and Clara Gaston, twin sister, Bonetta Mae Hunter, brothers-in-law, Clifford Hunter and Harry Janzen and sister-in-law, Nita Kay Gaston. She is survived by husband Jack Castle of Vici, Oklahoma; sisters, Janet Janzen of Amarillo, Texas and Joyce Morgan and husband Henry of Woodward, Oklahoma; brother, Mel Gaston of Elk City, Oklahoma; 4 aunts, 1 uncle, nieces, nephews, other family, a host of friends, and the staff at the Vici Nursing Home.



Graveside services were held on Saturday February 9,2013 at the North Persimmon Cemetery, Sharon, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net

As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward.

    LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

    Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt.  She was one of ten children.  She departed this life on April 30, 2013.   She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951.  She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
