Morgandee Lynn Swanson

Woodward, Okla. — Funeral services for Morgandee Lynn Swanson, 32 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. David Lawrence officiating.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.



Morgan was born August 27, 1980 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Blakeney and Diane Lou (Adler) Swanson and passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  Morgan was raised and attended school in Woodward, Oklahoma. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1999 where she was active in softball and soccer and was named an All-State goal keeper her senior year.  Morgan attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Redlands College.  She earned her Certified Medication Aide certification was currently working at Corn Heritage of Weatherford.  Morgan enjoyed playing with her dog Bindi, sports, swimming, and anything outdoors.  Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church.



Morgan is survived by her mother, Diane Logan and husband, John of Edmond, Oklahoma; three brothers, John, Jacob, and Josh Logan all of Woodward, Oklahoma; one sister, Holland Swanson of Dallas, Texas; and paternal grandparents, Paul and Pat Swanson of Weatherford.  She was preceded in death by her father, Blake Swanson; uncle, Mike Swanson; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Blossom Adler; and grandfather, Duane Logan.

    Leona Austin, 91 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home south of Woodward.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home

  • Karl Platte Karl Wayne Platte

    Karl Wayne Platte was born December 2, 1980 to Kenny and Gail Platte in Big Spring, Texas. Karl tragically left this life on June 1, 2013 as a result of a car accident. He was 32 years of age.  He moved with his family to Dora, New Mexico in 1986. While in Dora, Karl asked Jesus into his life at a very young age. It was there that Karl’s competitive, athletic spirit was kindled. In 1992, the Platte family moved to Wilson, Texas where Karl participated in every sport he could imagine and excelled in them all. He grew a great love for all sports and the outdoors.

    Funeral services for Wilda Marie Schmidt age 84 of Woodward will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband Earl.  Visitation will be held on June 3, 2013 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

    Pauline Henrietta McClung was born December 21, 1921, to Henry Matthews McClung and Phoebe Ferris James McClung on the family homestead farm west of May, Oklahoma. She died on May 29, 2013, at age 91 in Woodward, Oklahoma.

    Lamont Munsell, 92 year old Mooreland resident, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Mooreland Heritage Manor.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Mooreland.  Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home of Mooreland.
