Woodward, Okla. —
Marlene Harrington, 74 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, October 19, 2012, in Wichita, Kansas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the New Horizon United Methodist Church with Pastor Becky Pierson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Marlene Janet Schneider was born March 8, 1938 in the Shattuck, Oklahoma hospital to Emanuel and Martha (Feil) Schneider. She grew up in Woodward and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1956. In 1955, she married Merle Shore. To this union, three sons were born; Michael Lynn Shore, David Dee Shore and Gene Alan Shore, whom she loved dearly.
On October 25, 1975, she married Ray Harrington in Woodward, and gained three step-daughters whom she loved. They lived north of Woodward on the Gilbert Ranch until moving back to Woodward in June of 1977. Marlene worked at Carpenter Music Company several years; International Paper Company and the Shoe Box for short times. She then was office secretary for the Woodward Chamber of Commerce for five years. She was a typist clerk for the Woodward County Health Department for fifteen years, retiring in 2000. She was also the Registrar for births and deaths in Woodward County until 2000.
Marlene enjoyed retirement very much. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was surrounded by them often. She was a loving and giving person who loved people and life in general. In return, she was loved very much by her family and friends. Her smile, contagious laughter, and terrific sense of humor made many people happy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband, Ray Harrington; her sons, David Shore and wife Nancy; Gene Shore and wife Tonya of Woodward; step-daughters, Cathy Earnest and husband Ron of Buffalo; Carla Shuman and husband Terry of Laverne; Neva Rodriguez of Chickasha; sisters-in-law, Kim Schneider of Enid; Nellie Allison of Woodward; brother-in-law, Jab Harrington and wife Ellen of Englewood, Kansas. Also surviving are grandchildren Kathryn Shore, Stillwater; Ashton, Allyn, Price Shore, Woodward; step-grandchildren Alex Geurkink, Weatherford, Oklahoma; Levi Clark, Buffalo; Casey Gulley, Woodward; Dandy and Kandi Shuman, Laverne; Dylan Shuman, Stillwater; Alycia Rodriguez, Lawton; Justin and Angela Rodriguez, Chickasha; Tiffany Brannen, Weatherford, Texas; Ronnie Earnest, Stillwater; Billy Earnest, Weatherford, Oklahoma; nineteen great-grandchildren, aunts uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends whom she held so dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Martha Schneider; infant son, Michael Lynn Shore; brothers Gary Don Schneider and Randy Lynn Schneider; great-grandson, Gavin Shuman.
Memorials may be made to the New Horizon United Methodist Church with the funeral home accepting the memorials.

Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt. She was one of ten children. She departed this life on April 30, 2013. She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951. She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.

R.A. Lotspeich
R.A. Lotspeich, 81 year old Rosston, Oklahoma, farmer and rancher passed away Friday, May 3, 2013. The only son of Kenney and Osie Lotspeich, R.A. was born March 24, 1932, graduated Rosston High School 1949, and Oklahoma A & M in 1954 with a degree in agriculture. During his college career, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the college rodeo team, excelling in bull riding. Having been an ROTC cadet at Oklahoma A & M, R.A. went on to serve as a 1st Lieutenant in the U. S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged in 1955.
