Scierra Dawn Sovereign

Woodward, Okla. — Scierra Dawn Sovereign, 19 year old Woodward resident, died October 22, 2012 as a result of a automobile accident between Woodward and Seiling.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Scierra Dawn Sovereign was born on June 12, 1993 in Redding, California to Loreta Ernice (Little) Sovereign and Roy Anthony  Sovereign.  The family moved to Woodward in 1997 and Scierra attended Westwood Elementary and Cedar Heights until the 3rd grade.  She attended Ft. Supply Schools from the 4th grade to the 6th grade and played basketball there.  Scierra graduated from Woodward High School in 2010.  She went to work for United Supermarket on May 28, 2010.  Scierra was promoted to Assistant Front End Manager on November 28, 2011 and was the closing manager four nights a week.  She was great with her customers and loved her job dearly.  She always enjoyed seeing her customers.

 

Scierra was involved in Girl Scouts at a young age and played the clarinet for the Woodward Middle School Band.  She loved music, her son Nathan, who was the love of her life, her brother, Craig who Scierra called “Bewby” her whole life and her mother Loreta who Scierra referred to as “Baby Face Angel.”

 

She is survived by her son, Nathan James Flynn of the home; mom, Loreta Sovereign and James Link of Taloga; brother, Craig James Sovereign and fiancee Tia Nester of Woodward; father, Roy Anthony Sovereign of Fairview; half-brother, Anthony Sovereign of Eureka, California; maternal grandparents, Linda Barlow of Mooreland, Tim Tyler and wife Cindy of Modesta, California; Aunt Vera Sovereign of Eureka, California; cousins, Marty and Sharon Dunn of Texas, Fonda Vang Hobbs of Woodward; special friends who are like loved ones, Daniel and Lisa Cooper, Jay and Anna Price, Joe Goodman, Kenny Ridenour, Brittany Gonzalez, Edward Chavez, Tanessa Lowden, Jeffrey Hyde, Holly David and Danielle Massey, Linda Rhodes, Lee Swearingim, Stoney Swearingim, Rachel Swearingim, Brandon Lovings, Matt Cooper, Tammy Vandermay and family; other relatives and many, many friends.

 

A very special thank you to Jennifer Stuteville for her efforts and kindness on the day of Scierra’s accident.

 

Scierra was preceded in death by her Grandpa Elmer Dunn and her fiancee Jonathan Flynn.

    Lana Jean Ramsey, 46 year old Vici resident, passed from this life Thursday, May 9, 2013. Lana was born on October 20, 1966 in Alva, Oklahoma to Lance and Mona Jean Stephenson. As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

    Chris Waterman, 42 year old Woodward resident, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shane Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward.

    LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

    Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt.  She was one of ten children.  She departed this life on April 30, 2013.   She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951.  She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.

  • R. A. Lotspeich R.A. Lotspeich

      R.A. Lotspeich, 81 year old Rosston, Oklahoma, farmer and rancher passed away Friday, May 3, 2013.  The only son of Kenney and Osie Lotspeich, R.A. was born March 24, 1932, graduated Rosston High School 1949, and Oklahoma A & M in 1954 with a degree in agriculture.  During his college career, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the college rodeo team, excelling in bull riding.  Having been an ROTC cadet at Oklahoma A & M, R.A. went on to serve as a 1st Lieutenant in the U. S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged in 1955.
