Woodward, Okla. — Anita Kim (Prado) Hartzell 57 year old resident of   Woodward, Oklahoma passed from this life on February 1, 2013. Anita was born on July 31, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Joe and Ester Mills Prado.

Anita was raised in California and she attended Fillmore Public Schools.  At the age of 32 moved to Woodward, Oklahoma and in 1992 received her GED. Anita then furthered her education at the Woodward Vocational School, where she learned to be a Legal Secretary.

On November 4, 1968 Anita married Christopher Madden in Utah. Two daughters blessed this union, Shelly in 1969 and Christy in 1973. On October 24, 1982 Anita married Fred Carriger in Ventura, California at the court house. The couple had two children, Michael in 1987 and Ashley in 1989. Then on March 1, 2000 Anita married the love of her life Lee Hartzell at the Mutual Christian Church.

Anita worked as a copy blue print machine operator and always was a wonderful homemaker to her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing arts and crafts along with gardening. Anita was baptized at the age of 14 and attended Bible School faithfully. In the last few weeks, Anita was able to renew her spiritual being with the help of her Chaplin from Faith Hospice. A great peace was found.

Anita was preceded in death by  brother Joey Prado, grandmother Irene Mills, uncle Frank Folton and aunt Elaine Folton. She is survived by daughters Shelly Clevenger of Woodward, Oklahoma, Christy Scott and  fiance Shane Sanders of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Ashley Carriger of Woodward, Oklahoma; son Michael Carriger and fiance Roberta Armer of Woodward, Oklahoma; parents Phil and Ester Hinks; brothers Stan Prado, Jay Prado, and Joey Prado; and sister Deon Ganz; 8 grandchildren,;( CJ and wife Salina Clevenger; Troy Clevenger; Natasha Clevenger; Sean Scott; Destiny Madden; Ayden Hammans; Brayliegh Dryden; Layla Gross;  3 great-grandchildren,(Kason Clevenger; Callie Clevenger; Alyssa Clevenger;)  4 nieces, 3 nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and a host of friends. Inclueding one life long friend Kathy Hartman.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the Persimmon Cemetery Mutual, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family viewed at shawfuneralhome.net

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

    LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

    Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt.  She was one of ten children.  She departed this life on April 30, 2013.   She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951.  She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
