Woodward, Okla. —
Bill Braley, 82 year old Gage resident, died Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Grace Living Center in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel.
William R. “Bill” Braley was born June 6, 1930. He was the third of three children born to Ella F. Poage Braley and Jack W. “Red” Braley of Woodward, Oklahoma. After Bill, they gave up. Bill graduated from Woodward High School in May of 1948. He spent three years working for Orville and Verlon Barnes of Shattuck, Oklahoma.
He joined the United States Air Force on July 14, 1951. He was married to Laura L. Coffman on December 28, 1951. He and Laura spent three and one half years with the 17th Bomb Squadron of the Eighth Air Force Station at Fort Worth Air Force Base. He received his honorable discharge on August 13, 1955. Bill graduated from Oklahoma State University in August of 1958 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Petroleum Engineering option.
Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company hired him September 9, 1958. They lived in Liberal, Kansas until 1965. Here they received their two children, DawnElla and Tony.
Panhandle transferred Bill to Anadarko Production in 1964. They moved to Fort Worth, Texas in late 1965 where Bill was promoted to Chief Evaluation Engineer.
Bill left Anadarko Petroleum in 1967 and worked for several independent oil producers before becoming an independent petroleum engineer in 1971. He worked for many different companies as a consultant. During this time he formed a close relationship with Powell Properties, Inc. He retained this relationship until his death.
Bill was 82 years old at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack. He is survived by his wife, Laura, his daughter, DawnElla Rust and husband Rusty; his son, Tony, two grand daughters, Shaynea and Sydnea Braley (the love of his life), and two great grandchildren, Aiden and Adilynn. Bill also is survived by his sister, Christine and her husband, Ralph Persons and sister-in-law Pauline Braley,

Jan R. Brown
Jan R. Brown passed from this earthly life to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20th, after a short illness. He was born on June 21, 1939 in El Reno OK. Jan and his wife of 56 years have enjoyed the last 20 years of semi-retirement in Hot Springs Village AR. Many great memories have been created for family and friends in this beautiful golfing community.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating. Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
