Danny Lee Chance, 58 of Woodward, died Saturday January 5, 2013 in Pratt, Kansas. Services will be held 2:00 p m Friday January 11, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with Reverend Bill Tindell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.
Danny Lee Chance was born March 11, 1954 in Woodward, Oklahoma to William James and Laura Faye (Swallow) Chance. He spent most of his life in the Woodward area and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1974. Danny spent many years in the oilfield business doing various jobs. He was also a cook at a friends restaurant in Eagles Nest, New Mexico and a mental health aide at Western State Hospital.
Danny loved being around family at family gatherings and antagonizing and especially joking with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by three brothers Ronnie Chance and wife G.G. of Ft. Supply; Terry Chance of Shattuck and William Chance of Woodward; one sister Emily Clow and husband Jim of Woodward; he is also survived by two nieces and three nephews and three great- nieces and seven great-nephews as well as one great-great nephew. He was also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and one niece
