Woodward, Okla. — Ruth Story, 75 year old former Fargo resident, died Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Guthrie, Oklahoma. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the Fargo Cemetery. The Reverend Michael Shepherd will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home of Woodward.
Bertha Ruth (Bailey) Story was born on Christmas Day 1936, at Hot Springs, New Mexico to Loys and Margaretha (Toellner) Bailey.
After finishing her twelve years of schooling at Fargo in 1956 she received her Registered Nursing Degree at Mercy Hospital in 1959. In 1969, she received her Anesthesiology Degree from Baylor University.
Her life’s work was nursing, anesthesiology and being a housewife.
Ruth is survived by four grandchildren, two in Denver and two in Tulsa, three brothers, Fred Bailey of Columbus, Ohio, La Roy Bailey, of Fargo; Victor Bailey of Fairview; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Story, son, Billie Story daughter, Kim (Story) Brink, granddaughter, Elizabeth Mahalia (Bailey) Pittmen and a brother Lee A. Bailey.
