Woodward, Okla. — Funeral service for Glenn McClure 86 year old Thomas, Oklahoma resident will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Christian Church of Thomas with David Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Valley Cemetery, under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.

Glenn was born to Mathie and Ollie (Campbell) Goodson on May 13, 1926 in Burnet, TX and died on November 27, 2012 in Woodward Regional Hospital in Woodward, Oklahoma. Glenn was raised in Austin, Texas, where he attended schools. He joined the United States Navy at the age of 16 serving 2 years during World War II. At the age of 18, Glenn began working for Mobil Oil Company as a field hand. Glenn married Betty Adams on October 20, 1956 in Drumright, OK. Later moving to Thomas, OK in the summer of 1967, where they made their home. Glenn had worked his way up to management before retiring at the age of 56. After retiring, Glenn had held helped Kenneth Roof with wheat harvest, ran cattle with Dick Frans, helped Jack Dickey at the First National Bank and was the mayor of Thomas. Glenn enjoyed traveling, dancing, country music, exploring caves with his family and he always had a big garden. He married Peggy Wingo on October 29, 2011 in Woodward, Oklahoma, where they made their home.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Woodward, Oklahoma; one daughter, Sherri Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one grandson, Trey Garrison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 4 step daughters, Debra and Pete Schuman of Marietta, Oklahoma, Sherry Easton of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Janie Wingo of Dumas, Texas, Kelly and Brett Haley of Arlington, Texas; 3 step sons, James and Joy Wingo of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Gary Wingo of The Colony, Texas and Danny and Pam Wingo of Gilbert, Arizona; and one step grandchild, Misty Hightower of Dalhart, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Betty Goodson, and 13 brothers and sisters.

    Lana Jean Ramsey, 46 year old Vici resident, passed from this life Thursday, May 9, 2013. Lana was born on October 20, 1966 in Alva, Oklahoma to Lance and Mona Jean Stephenson. As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward.

    LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

    Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt.  She was one of ten children.  She departed this life on April 30, 2013.   She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951.  She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.

  • R. A. Lotspeich R.A. Lotspeich

      R.A. Lotspeich, 81 year old Rosston, Oklahoma, farmer and rancher passed away Friday, May 3, 2013.  The only son of Kenney and Osie Lotspeich, R.A. was born March 24, 1932, graduated Rosston High School 1949, and Oklahoma A & M in 1954 with a degree in agriculture.  During his college career, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the college rodeo team, excelling in bull riding.  Having been an ROTC cadet at Oklahoma A & M, R.A. went on to serve as a 1st Lieutenant in the U. S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged in 1955.
