Woodward, Okla. — Juanita Irene Ward 63, recently of Wright City, OK, previously of Lubbock TX, lost her battle with cancer Friday, January 11th, 2013.  She was a loving, caring, courageous woman who was always smiling. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Irene Ogletree, her father Doyle Ogletree, and her husband Tommy Cummings.

She is survived by her four sons, Brent Ward and wife Theresa of Odessa, TX, Kenny Ward and wife Melanie of Wright City, OK, Michael Ward and wife Angelica of Odessa, TX, Lance Ward and wife Hannah of Mansfield, TX, two step-daughters, Kristin Peters and husband Alan of Denver City, TX, and Alisha Stake and husband Jeff of Denver City, TX, three sisters, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Anita Warren of Amarillo, TX, Judy Derr and husband Les of Corbin, KY, Connie Velasquez and husband Milton of Amarillo, TX, and one brother Darrell Ogletree and wife Barbara Zielinski Warrenton, Oregon. She is also survived by five nieces, six nephews, many cousins, extended family, great friends, and coworkers.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18th   the Denver City First United Methodist Church located at 210 W. 4thStreet, Denver City, TX.  Arrangements are under the direction of Boyer Memorial Chapel, 120 W. 4thStreet, Denver City, TX, 79323 in Association with Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas.

    Jan R. Brown passed from this earthly life to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20th, after a short illness. He was born on June 21, 1939 in El Reno OK. Jan and his wife of 56 years have enjoyed the last 20 years of semi-retirement in Hot Springs Village AR. Many great memories have been created for family and friends in this beautiful golfing community.

    Olen Thomas 69, year old Woodward resident died Friday, May 17, 2013 in Oklahoma City.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday May 23, 2013 in the First Baptist Church with Reverend Guy McGraw officiating.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
