Woodward, Okla. — Jesse Lee Shillings,82, of Woodward passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Woodward.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a m Tuesday December 18, 2012 at The First United Methodist Church in Woodward with the Reverend Charlie Graves and the Reverend Woody Hamon officiating.  Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Billings Funeral Home.

 

Jesse Lee Shillings was born July 1, 1930 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Oscar Clarence and Ozella Faye (Garrison) Shillings.  He was a graduate of Pampa High School with the class of 1949.  He was united in marriage with Glennys Neagle on September 11, 1980 in Amarillo, Texas.  Jesse was  self employed making maps for the city of Woodward.  Jesse enjoyed tinkering with old cars, fishing and spending time with his dog Lacy.

 

Jesse was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife Glennys Shillings of Woodward; three daughters,  Cindy Gutierrez and husband Leroy of Bixby, Brenda Gregg and husband Bobby of Amarillo,Texas, Ginger Stahlman and husband Brent of Laverne; two step-sons Gary Sears and wife Nila of Toppenish, Washington, Brent Sears and wife Pam of Woodward; grandchildren, Tana Cheshier of Amarillo,Texas; Ronnie Cheshier of Bixby,  Traci Cheshier of Tulsa,  Sheldon Stahlman of Laverne,  Lindsey Stahlman of Laverne; two brothers, Clarence Shillings and wife Allene of Goldwaite, Texas and Harold Shillings of Victoria,Texas: four step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews;  a host of friends and his beloved dog Lacy.

 

Jesse was preceded by his parents.

 

Memorials are to be given to the First United Methodist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.

    Lana Jean Ramsey, 46 year old Vici resident, passed from this life Thursday, May 9, 2013. Lana was born on October 20, 1966 in Alva, Oklahoma to Lance and Mona Jean Stephenson. As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.

    Jo Ann Keltch, 68 year old Sharon resident, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Woodward Regional Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the South Persimmon Baptist Church with the Reverend Jay Custar and the Reverend Eddie White officiating.  Burial will follow in the South Persimmon Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday,  May 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward.

    LaRoy “Chuck” Vernon Bailey, 74 year old rural Fargo resident, was born March 26, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Loys and Margretha (Toellner) Bailey. He attended school at Fargo, graduating with the “Class of 1959”. After graduating High School he went to mechanics school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he completed the certification requirements to be an auto mechanic.

    Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, OK on Aug. 24, 1933 to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt.  She was one of ten children.  She departed this life on April 30, 2013.   She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951.  She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.

  • R. A. Lotspeich R.A. Lotspeich

      R.A. Lotspeich, 81 year old Rosston, Oklahoma, farmer and rancher passed away Friday, May 3, 2013.  The only son of Kenney and Osie Lotspeich, R.A. was born March 24, 1932, graduated Rosston High School 1949, and Oklahoma A & M in 1954 with a degree in agriculture.  During his college career, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the college rodeo team, excelling in bull riding.  Having been an ROTC cadet at Oklahoma A & M, R.A. went on to serve as a 1st Lieutenant in the U. S. Army for two years and was honorably discharged in 1955.
