Veetrice Campbell, 70 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Veetrice Yuvonne (Pummel) Campbell was born on October 27, 1942 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Wayne and Evelyn (Payne) Pummel. Veetrice was reared in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Wayne Mathew Campbell on December 10, 1960 at the Bible Baptist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children, Wesley, Colby and Stacey. The family made their home in Woodward before moving to the farm south of Woodward in 1969. They continued living on the farm until 2009 when they moved into town.
Veetrice was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother who stayed at home and raised her children. Veetrice enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family and she always looked forward to the family camping trips.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Campbell of the home; two sons, Wesley Campbell and wife Cecilia of Arnett, Colby Campbell and wife Becky of Sharon; one daughter, Stacey Campbell and partner Ruth of Bradenton, Florida; six grandchildren, Mathew Campbell and wife Kelly, Rachel Jones, Amber Campbell, Andrea Campbell, Wyatt Campbell, Cody Campbell; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Arleta Watson of Vici, Adeline Eaves and husband Larry of Foss, Waynona Covalt and husband Delbert of Woodward; brothers, Gary Pummel and wife Arleta of Sharon, Eldon Pummel and wife Karla of Woodward; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Ball of Sharon, Mary Apperson of Granger, Indiana, Barbara Campbell of Midland, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Marilyn Ball and her brother-in-law, Ray Watson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital with the funeral home accepting the contributions.

Karl Wayne Platte
Karl Wayne Platte was born December 2, 1980 to Kenny and Gail Platte in Big Spring, Texas. Karl tragically left this life on June 1, 2013 as a result of a car accident. He was 32 years of age. He moved with his family to Dora, New Mexico in 1986. While in Dora, Karl asked Jesus into his life at a very young age. It was there that Karl’s competitive, athletic spirit was kindled. In 1992, the Platte family moved to Wilson, Texas where Karl participated in every sport he could imagine and excelled in them all. He grew a great love for all sports and the outdoors.

Funeral services for Wilda Marie Schmidt age 84 of Woodward will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Steenbergen officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband Earl. Visitation will be held on June 3, 2013 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
