Woodward, Okla. — Doris F. Ferrell, 77 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at Oklahoma City.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel.  The Reverend Shane Rackley will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Fargo Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

 

Doris Fern (Elliott) Ferrell was born on August 3, 1935 at Amarillo, Texas to Charles and Faye (Calhoun) Elliott.  She grew up in the Woodward area where she attended school.  To her marriages five sons were born; Ron, Doug, Darron, Dennis and Donnie.  Doris was a very strong and proud mother and grandmother.

 

In 1997 Doris was united in marriage to Duane Ferrell and they made their home south of Mooreland.  She and Duane were able to travel and celebrate life together in their later years.

 

As we mourn the passing of an angel “Doris Ferrell,” who touched every person that she came in contact with.  We celebrate her life and everything she meant to all of us as we remember her calming voice, her soothing touch and her strength that she has shared with everyone.  We will all love you and miss you until we meet again.

 

Doris is survived by her sons, Ron Baker and wife Lisa of Arlington, Texas, Darron Moore and wife Glorianna of Mesa, Arizona, Dennis Moore and wife Lisa of Oklahoma City and Donnie Moore and wife Kasha of Enid; her grandchildren, Kimberly Bishop, Ron Baker Jr., Christian Fox, Misty Williams,  Courtney Baker, Dezaree Grey, Grant Baker, Desa Moore, Zachary Burnett, Rachel Moore, Dacelyn Moore, Tasha Smith and Garreth Moore; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Raegan, Emily and Ethan Bishop, Logan Baker, Jade Bish, Jaylee Grey, Jeramiah and Jaylee Williams; special friend, Lloyd Golden of Woodward; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Duane Ferrell, two children: Doug Baker and a Moore baby girl.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Diabetes Research, with the funeral home accepting the contributions.

    Jan R. Brown passed from this earthly life to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20th, after a short illness. He was born on June 21, 1939 in El Reno OK. Jan and his wife of 56 years have enjoyed the last 20 years of semi-retirement in Hot Springs Village AR. Many great memories have been created for family and friends in this beautiful golfing community.

As a child Lana lived on the farm near Webb, Oklahoma and attended Taloga High School graduating with the class of 1983.

    Lloyd Lorn Elston went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born September 24, 1919 to John and Sarah Elizabeth (Taylor) Elston west of Laverne, Oklahoma in Beaver County. He was the 12th child out of 13 and the youngest boy in the family.
