Woodward, Okla. — Cleta Hanson 65 year old Woodward resident died Tuesday August 14, 2012 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday August 16, 2012 at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Cleta Yvonne (Lehman) Hanson was born on September 9, 1946 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Willie William and Letha Earline (Black) Lehman. Cleta spent her childhood in Mooreland attending school and graduating from Mooreland High School with the class of 1965. After school she worked at Mooreland Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was married to James Irwin and to this union two son’s were born, J.W. and David. Cleta then worked as a stay at home mother from then on. Cleta was united in marriage to John Eric Hanson in Woodward, Oklahoma they made their home in Woodward and have remained here since. To this union one son was born Jeffery.
Cleta was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
Cleta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid Teddy-Bear and Angel collector.
She is survived by her husband John and son Jeffery of the home; son, J.W. Irwin and wife Rebekah of Fargo; son, David Irwin and wife Karla of Woodward; two brothers, Wayne Lehman and wife Janice of Greer, S.C.; Jimmie Lehman of Mooreland; five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Kristin Dobson and husband Shane of Pasadena, TX; Penny LeRoy and husband Jason of Mansfield, TX; one brother-in-law, Chuck Hanson and wife Sam of Midlothian, TX; mother-in-law, Barbara Hanson of Mansfield, TX; father-in-law, Truman Hanson of Edmond; several other family members and friends.
Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Robert Lehman, Ronnie Lehman, and William Dean Lehman.
