Team Hayden helping to find cure for CF

According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s National Patient registry, the average age of survival for people with Cystic Fibrosis is in the early to mid 30’s.

Hayden Steadman and members of Team Hayden are working to make the life expectancy a lot longer than the mid 30’s and need your help.

Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. anyone eating at Pizza Hut has the opportunity to donate 20 percent of their ticket to Team Hayden.

“Parents and team members of Team Hayden will be waiting tables at Pizza Hut to help raise money for the team,” said Hayden’s mother, Shiela Steadman. “Also, any tips during that time will go to the team as well.”

Team Hayden is raising money to take to Oklahoma City on Saturday as all 145 members of Team Hayden will be walking to help raise money and awareness to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

“The money we raise at Pizza Hut and with the walk will got to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help find a cure,” said Steadman. “This is a very exciting time because we are so close to finding a cure for this disease that Hayden and so many other children suffer from. With every dollar we raise we are just that much closer to finding a cure.”

The Air Evac helicopter along with Hozer and Dozer the clown will be at Pizza Hut as well.

“We will be signing autographs for all the kids,” said Dozer the Clown. “We encourage everyone to come out and see us and help Team Hayden out with a donation to fight Cystic fibrosis.”

Cystic Fibrosis is the number one donation according to Steadman because 90 cents of every dollar donated goes to the research for the disease.

“People with Cystic Fibrosis are living longer and the life expectancy is moving up every year,” said Steadman. “We encourage everyone to have dinner at Pizza Hut Thursday night and make a difference in the life of someone with this disease.”
