Planning under way for garden club

Woodward, Okla. — For anyone interested in gardening or landscaping, there is a new club forming in Woodward County.

“A lot of people in the community have approached me and expressed interest in a club for lawn and gardening,” said Dana Bay, extension educator with the OSU Extension office.

Bay has been collecting contact information from interested gardeners and is looking to set up an organizational meeting near the end of February or early March.

Bay said the plan is to have local guest speakers as well as guests from Oklahoma State University to provide information on gardening and lawn care. She noted the meetings will also be a good place to exchange “tips and tricks” on gardening.

Anyone interested in joining a gardening club can contact Bay at the OSU Extension office, 580-254-3391 or by email at dana.bay@okstate.edu.

“The club will be a lot of fun and educational,” Bay said.
