The Woodward Artisans League will hold its annual Holiday Express craft show Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Woodward County Fairgrounds.
Over fifty booths will offer everything from wood crafts to handmade scrapbook pages.
“Everything at the show will be handmade products by the exhibitors,” said Artisan League member Mona Story.
Two featured artists will be Margaret McDonald, of Vici, who does wheat weaving, and Sherry Liston, of Woodward, who will be demonstrating her wool spinning techniques during the show, Story said.
Other crafts that will be featured at the show include floral arrangements, holiday decorations, candles, crocheted items, decorative crosses, handmade jewelry and much more.
The show will feature artists from throughout Northwest Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. Artisan League member Kim Kirkley said this year a new exhibit will feature a collection of stained glass.
Food booths will be sponsored by area churches and other non-profit organizations, and a bake sale will be sponsored by the Masonic Lodge #189 and the Artisans League.
The craft show began over 35 years ago to make Woodward more acquainted with the arts, Story said. Money raised through booth sales is used to help the Artisans League’s efforts to support art programs in area schools, she said.
