Horace Mann Elementary School will hold its “Nacho Ordinary Teachers” night on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The school is inviting the community to come show its support for the teachers while enjoying a nacho dinner.
Ticket proceeds from the dinner will be given to teachers to use in their classrooms.
“We love our teachers and this is one way to show our appreciation for them going the extra mile. Everyone is invited to come enjoy a fun family night,” said Horace Mann Principal Petra Sullender.
During the event, a drawing will be held for gift baskets that the students sold raffle tickets for throughout the past month. Sullender said the drawing will take place around 6 p.m. although you do not have to be present to win.
In addition to the dinner, the elementary school will also be hosting a book fair all next week.
Sullender said it will even be open Tuesday evening for those visitors who might attend the nacho dinner.
“After dinner they can go down the hall to the book fair," she said. "It will be a great opportunity to see our new media center facility.”
