Woodward, Okla. —
The Woodward High School Library will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair next week. Money raised by the fair will go towards funding the school library.
"The event will have something for all age groups, kids series books, such as 'The Wimpy Kid' and 'Nate the Great,' cookbooks, books in Spanish and even adult novels by authors including Nicholas Sparks, Mitch Albom and Lisa Scottoline are also available," said Dawn Castor, WHS library media specialist.
Books won't be the only thing featured at this fair however.
"A new feature of the week will be held on Tuesday and Thursday during parent-teacher conferences from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Live acoustical music will be featured and performed by high school students, and coffee and hot chocolate will be available for purchase while shoppers browse the books," Castor said.
The book fair will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, but those unable to attend regularly scheduled hours will also have the option of making purchases online through Nov. 6 where they'll be able to shop anytime. As an additional bonus, books purchased through the bookfair's website will be delivered to the high school free of shipping charges.
