Annexation on agenda for county

Woodward, Okla. — A public hearing will be held Monday morning during the County Commissioners weekly meeting over a petition to annex additional land to the Quinlan Community Rural Water District No. 1.

The county commissioner meeting begins at 10 a.m. in the Woodward County Courthouse.

According to County Clerk Charolett Waggoner, a couple of property owners are requesting to be added to the water district because they do not have adequate water on their property.

Also Monday, county commissioners will receive the recommendation from the county fire chief regarding a bid that was tabled for a new 1-ton cab and chassis to be converted into a fire truck for use by the Mutual Fire Department.

Commissioners will also take action on the disposal of junked equipment from the assessors office.

"There was a camera in the assessors office that was no longer working and needed to be replace," Waggoner said.

The county agenda also includes routine items such as the county cash fund estimate of needs and request for appropriations for August, the monthly jail report for May, and blanket purchase orders.
