Several local council meetings set this week

Woodward, Okla. — COUNTY COMMISSION

Woodward County Commissioners are set to consider a petition from residents in the Windover Addition during their weekly meeting Monday morning.

According to the county’s agenda, the residents are wanting to have signs replaced banning 4-wheelers (ATVs) from the streets in the addition.

In other business, the commissioners will consider the acceptance of a $10,000 Justice Assistance Grant to be used toward the purchase of a vehicle for the sheriff’s office.  The commissioners are also set to open bids for a 2010 shortbed pickup for the sheriff’s office during Monday’s meeting.

Other agenda items include the monthly expenditure report for Northwest Domestic Crisis Services, allocation of the alcoholic beverage tax for March, and a utility permit request from Sandridge Energy & Production to bore two water lines under District No. 1 roads.

The Woodward County Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Woodward County Courthouse.



CITY COMMISSION

Woodward City Commissioners have a short agenda planned for their regular meeting Monday night.

The agenda includes only three main action items: a damage claim from a sewer backup at Briarwood Apartments; a professional services contract with the Woodward Main Street Program in the amount of $30,000; and a change order from Kline Mechanical for changes that need to be made to the elevator equipment room at Fuller Park.

The Woodward City Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in City Hall.



PUBLIC FACILITIES AUTHORITY

The Woodward County Public Facilities Authority is set to move forward on the bond issuance for the new county jail during their next meeting Tuesday night.

The authority will consider a “Bond Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of not to exceed Thirteen Million Dollars ($13,000,000) in Tax-Exempt Obligations, the Proceeds of which shall be used to Acquire, Construct & Equip a New County Detention Facility.”

The authority is also slated to select a trustee bank and depository bank and receive presentations from Architects in Partnership P.C. and from Bond Counsel J. Brent Clark, P.C. and Financial Advisor Chris Cochran.

In other business, the authority will review a personal liability insurance quote from ACCO-SIG for the construction phase of the jail.

The Woodward County Public Facilities Authority will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Emergency Management Meeting Room in the basement of the courthouse.
