Woodward, Okla. —
The Woodward County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, Sept. 17 on the proposed rezoning of land for R&L Financial Solutions.
The hearing was scheduled after commissioners were presented Tuesday with a request from R&L Financial Solutions to rezone the land from A-1 general agriculture district to I-2 general industrial district.
The land in question for the rezoning is located southeast of Woodward along Highway 270 in section 15-T22N-R20W.I.M.
In other business, the commissioners approved the annexation of additional land into the Quinlan Rural Water District. The annexation will allow two more rural residents to join the district and have access to its water service.
County commissioners also approved the legal services contract with Tisdal and O'Hara, PLLC for their work on a tax dispute between the county and Nextera Energy.
According to the County Assessor Misti Dunn, the contract would run through June 2013.
Other items that were approved in the meeting included a blanket purchase order for fuel for the Sheriff's department and a grant finalization for the crisis center.
The next meeting for the Woodward County Commissioners will be held on Monday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. at the Woodward County Courthouse.
