One person hospitalized after 2-vehicle accident

Woodward, Okla. — A Goodwell woman was injured in a 2-vehicle accident south of Laverne Monday evening.

Connie Bryan, 63, was admitted into the Woodward Regional Hospital in stable condition with leg, arm and trunk internal injuries from the accident, said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Skylar Wooldridge, 21, of Beaver was treated and released at Woodward Regional Hospital, the OHP said.

Both were taken to Woodward by Laverne EMS.

According to the OHP report, Bryan was going east on US 270 in a Toyota Rave 4 and Wooldridge was going west in a Honda CR-V. The OHP said Bryan attempted to turn north on to US 283 and turned in front of and was hit by the Wooldridge vehicle.

The OHP report listed the cause of the accident as "improper turn in front of oncoming traffic."

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The accident happened about 6:35 p.m. 6 miles south of Laverne at the intersection of US Highway 270 and 283 in Harper County.

The accident was investigated by Trooper State Sparks with assistance from the Harper County Sheriff's Office and Laverne police, fire and EMS.
