Outdoor Expo opens Friday

Woodward, Okla. — The Northwest Oklahoma Outdoor Expo is set to kick off Friday featuring events for outdoor enthusiasts of any age.

Friday - Kids’ Night

4 p.m. - Opening announcements, including the announcement of the beginning of the Boone and  Crockett Rack Scoring and the tagged fishing tournament

4:30 p.m. - NWTF - Turkey calling demonstration

5 p.m. -  Coley , Quality Deer Management Association state president

5:30 p.m.    CJ’s catfish seminar

6 p.m.        Cargill speaker Louis Etzel;  Record Rack - Aging Deer on the Hoof

  • Woodward man dies in collision with diesel tanker

    One man is dead after his passenger car collided with a semi hauling diesel fuel along Highway 412 in Major County Thursday morning.  The man's identity was not immediately released, but a public information officer described him as a 52-year-old white male from Woodward.

    Woodward Police Detectives are investigating a possible "digital peeping tom."
    The investigation began after police officers were called out to a local supply store around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 for a strange discovery that had been made inside the store restroom.
