Woodward, Okla. —
A proposed increase in pay for substitutes tops the agenda for Monday's High Plains Technology Center Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the school.
"We're considering an increase in the hourly pay of substitutes to stay even with the rates offered elsewhere in the community," Assistant Superin-tendent Barclay Holt said.
Holt said the increase wasn't a "real significant amount, we just noticed our rates had been falling behind slightly."
Though a discussion of hiring part-time instructors and employees is on the agenda, as of 2 p.m. on Friday there were no potential employees being considered.
"We schedule that on the agenda in case any last minute applicants need consideration,” Rachelle Rogers, administrative assistant at HPTC.
Rogers said if no one comes up for consideration the board acknowledges that and passes over it.
Wrapping up the meeting will be votes for general fund encumbrances, building fund encumbrances, and the Novem-ber activity fund report.
