Members and friends of the First Christian Church of Arnett will celebrate the church’s 100th birthday June 11.
To commemorate the special day, the church will conduct a special service June 7.
“We would like all past and present members to come and join us as we celebrate this ... occasion,” said Pastor Richard Royal. “If First Christian has had any influence, or served you or your family in any way, we would like you to come.”
Royal said the special service would begin at 10:30 a.m. and that the service would feature music throughout the morning. It will be followed by a catered meal.
Testimonies also will be given, Royal said.
“We’re trying to contact people who attended or were baptized or married or had a funeral here,” he said. “We would like them to write us and let us know.”

“To help us in our planning, we need all who plan to attend our service and meal to let us know by May 18,” he said.
“However,” he said, “if plans change for you at the last minute, and you can join us and celebrate, don’t hesitate to come.”
