ELLIS COUNTY – A Perryton, Texas woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle accident near Harmon late Tuesday night.
Katy Ann Ivey Elliott, 21, was air-lifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid and admitted with head injuries, said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. She was listed in stable condition.
According to the OHP, Elliott was driving her pickup east on U. S. Highway 60 just east of Harmon when she fell asleep. Her vehicle drifted into the oncoming traffic lane and went into a ditch. The vehicle then went into a broadslide and hit a tree, the OHP said.
The accident happened around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday. Harmon is in Ellis County between Arnett and Vici.
Trooper Mike Fike of the Woodward detachment investigated the accident with assistance from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office and the Arnett EMS.
