Harper County officials are still investigating a stabbing case that took place in Laverne at the beginning of July.
The case involved Laverne resident Donald Lovell and an unnamed juvenile from Woodward, said Deputy Derick Seevers in an earlier interview.
Lovell was sent that night to Newman Memorial Hospital where he received nearly 100 stitches.
The juvenile, who had left the scene of the incident was also sent by ambulance to the hospital , once he was apprehended.
He received more than 30 stitches to his body, said a relative who spoke on the condition of that she not be named to avoid identifying the juvenile.
At present, no charges have been filed in the stabbing, according to Harper County Sheriff, Marty Drew.
“We had an appointment to interview the juvenile victim and he has not shown up,” Drew said. “So we are still trying to figure out what happened.”
The case is also being worked by Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation detective Chuck McAnarney who has just recently received the case to work.
McAnarney is confident charges will be filed in the case.
