The town of Buffalo will soon be holding its annual Miss Buffalo Pageant, continuing a tradition, which began in 1956 .
The pageant will be held in the Buffalo High School auditorium April 19 at 7 p.m. A small admission fee will be charged at the door to help with the cost of scholarships.
Miss Oklahoma 2007 Makenna Smith will be the emcee for the program and special entertainment will be provided by Miss Buffalo 2007 Andi Chapman.
The competition is limited to juniors in high school and this year’s pageant will have five contestants.
Contestants will be Jamie Davis, daughter of Clifford and Carolyn Davis, Amber Dodd, daughter of Gene and Pam Dodd and Bonnie Carter, Tori Fleener, daughter of Diana and Mike Erwin and J-Wynn and Amy Fleener, Alexis Inderlied, daughter of Brent and Mikale Inderlied and Katie Yauk, daughter of Dwight and Holly Yauk.
The talent portion of the event will include singing, dancing, gymnastics and poetry recitation.
The event is directed by James Leonard and Lucia O’Connor.
