2 injured in semi-SUV accident
The semi driver was transported by a Woodward County EMS ambulance to Woodward Regional Hospital. The driver of the SUV was loaded into another ambulance but continued to be treated on scene. More details to come later.

Adult business law approved
Tracy Daniels, co-owner of Sugar Lips Adult Toys, said she feels a new Woodward ordinance is treating her business “like we’re a sex offender.”
The ordinance, which was passed by the Woodward City Commission during its regular meeting Tuesday night, establishes regulations and a licensing procedure for any business “which has a substantial or significant portion of its stock in ... (items) relating to specified sexual activities or specified anatomical areas.” -

Wildfires burn more than 1,500 acres
After more than 1,500 acres of grass and woodland burned in the Woodward area this Labor Day weekend, Woodward Fire Marshal Todd Finley said the need for rain is more evident than ever.
In fact, beyond encouraging citizens to thank the firefighters who worked hard to put out 5 big wildfires that ignited in the area this Sunday and Monday, Finley said he would also encourage them to “Just pray for some rain.”
The fire marshal said it was a combination of abundant dry vegetation, low humidity, and high winds that led 3 of the 5 wildfires to burn 100 acres or more. -
Emit brings tour to Woodward
Oklahoma City rock band Emit will be bringing their "Symptoms Begin to Show" tour to Woodward this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. as they perform at Bandits and Barbies.
