Looking for Logan donation

The children in Debbie Whisennhand’s home daycare in Woodward made a special contribution to the “Looking for Logan” search this week - the children donated a little over $111 to the cause. “They have been very involved with the case - they prayed for Logan every day,” reported Whisennand, who has been caring for children in Woodward for the past 15 years. “This is what they wanted to do with their money - this was all their idea.”

She said that the older children went around town collecting money and that most of it came from change that was scattered around citizens’ homes or change from their vehicles. Shown above are the children giving their money to Matt Lehenbauer, Woodward County/City Emergency Management Director. Children that attend the daycare that are pictured include Haley Griffin, Dahlyn Thomas, Justyce Barnett, Kase Donley, Bailee and Zane Neagle, Hunter Moseley, Ty Neil, Vincent Padilla, Kobe Jacobs, Rachael and Madison Diericks. Other children that helped to donate, but are not pictured, are Bailey and Emily Ramirez, Peyton Newby, Ashton Wilson, Maison Moseley, Caden Harper and JaCoby Newell. Lehenbauer reported that searchers are still in need of Gatorade and food donations as well. To help searchers by donating money or needed items, contact Lehenbauer at 256-3833. Citizens are asked to leave a message and he will return the call.
