Yauk-Barkley engagement

Tyla Yauk and Jarrod Barkley announce their engagement and plans to marry at 5 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2009, at the Tatanka Ranch south of Stillwater.

Yauk is the daughter of Justin and Sherry Jo Yauk of Woodward. She is a 2002 graduate of Woodward High School. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and is currently attending Oklahoma State University College of Veterinarian Medicine.

Barkley is the son of Lavon Barkley. He graduated from Leedey High School in 2000. He attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University and is currently apprenticing for Clem Electric in Camargo.

The couple will make their home in Stillwater.
