White-Washburn engagement

Sarah Jane White and Cory Lyle Washburn have announced their engagement and plans to marry on 13, 2009 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

White’s parents are Mickey and Donna White of Alva. Grandparents are Kernie and the late Lydia Rottmayer of Woodward and the late Elvin and Margaret White of Alva. She is a 2000 graduate of Alva High School and a 2006 graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science in nursing. She works at Northwest Technology Center in Alva as a health careers certification instructor.

Washburn’s parents are Kirk and Drue Washburn of Alva. Grandparents are Jack St. Clair and Martha Jones, and Carol Lee and the late Lyle Washburn all of Alva. He is a 1997 graduate of Alva High School and a 2002 graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater with bachelor of science degrees in management and in marketing. Cory is the vice president of Washburn Motor Company of Alva.

A celebration of marriage reception will be held on June 27, 2009 at the Elks Lodge in Alva. The couple will live in Alva.
