Smith-Asbell engagement

Krista Smith and Jacob Asbell have announced their engagement and plans to marry at 7 p.m. on July 18, 2009 in the Fountain Garden, Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Ark.

Smith is the daughter of Debbie and Mark Smith of Woodward. Grandparents are Shirley and Lynn McCullough and the late Margaret and Bill Fangohr, all of Shell Knob, Mo. She is a 2003 graduate of Woodward High School and a 2007 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a major in agribusiness. She received her master’s degree in agriculture from Oklahoma State University and work at US Bank.

Asbell is the son of Jeff Asbell of Carl Junction, Mo., and Cindy Asbell of Joplin, Mo. Grandparents are Karen and Leroy Thompson of Golden, Mo. and Tom and Dixie Asbell of Carl Junction, Mo., and the late Ruth Asbell of Carl Junction, Mo. He is a 2002 graduate of Carl Junction High School and a 2006 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He works for Jeff Asbell Excavating and Trucking Inc. as a supervisor of environmental operations.

The couple will live in Carl Junction, Mo.
